NBA DFS Picks: Oct 28 (DraftKings FanDuel)

I’m not sure what I am more surprised about from yesterday, the Warriors getting blown out or the fact it was the Thunder that blew them out. Both are back in action tonight with the Warriors trying to bounce back against the Pelicans and the Thunder get Westbrook/Paul revenge match (who will be more motivated?).  Lets get to it shall we – with 11 games on the slate here are our favorite NBA DFS Picks for October 28.
*Injuries – Joel Embiid?, Reggie Jackson, Zach Collins, DeAndre Ayton, Blake Griffin, Paul George, Zion Williamson, Victor Oladipo, Marvin Bagley III*

THE STARTING FIVE
(If Embiid is out play 2 of 3 of Simmonds, Harris or Horford)
Russell Westbrook HOU v okc (FD$10,900|DK$9,400)

You pretty much have to play Westbrook, right? OKC Revenge Part 1 and Westbrook has started the season on fire, scoring over 65 Fantasy Points in his first two games. Last season Chris Paul wasn’t able to slow him down and I don’t expect him to do so again today. If nothing, this game will be fun to watch, although it might blowout so I won’t blame you if you pivot to a red hot Trae Young or Ben Simmonds if Embiid sits.

LaMarcus Aldridge SA v por (FD$8,200|DK$7,800)
The Spurs have the 4th highest implied total on the night and Aldridge gets to feast on Hassan Whiteside’s lack of defence most of the night. Not only has LMA’s salary decreased from last game but Whiteside will see an uptick in minutes due to the injury of Collins which pretty much locks Aldridge into my lineups. My models are placing him around 6x.

RJ Barrett NYK v chi (FD$6,700|DK$6,100)
This is a great spot for Barrett. This is projected to be the third highest total of the night and the Bulls are a 1 point favorite. Although the Knicks have been all over the map this season Barrett is constant playing over 36 minutes each game and is the focal point on offence with a 25% usage rate. My models are putting him around 6x so i’m quite comfortable playing him tonight.

Derrick Rose DET v ind (FD$6,500|DK$5,400)
I’m going to keep playing Rose until they adjust his salary. He took over 21 shots last game, and although the total isn’t going to be high in the game, it will be close so Rose will close the game out and play close to 30 minutes. Last game he went over 8x but I think 7x is more in line with what to expect tonight.

Kent Bazemore POR @ sa (FD$5,300|DK$3,800)
The Blazers played small with Bazemore finishing the game after the injury to Collins. It’s expected that Bazemore will enter the starting lineup tonight and should see 30+ minutes. At this salary, 7x is pretty much guaranteed so I’ll eat the chalk and take the salary savings. A GPP pivot off Bazemore to Rodney Hood might be okay.
