DraftKings NBA Picks and FanDuel NBA Picks – November 18
Happy Monday. We have a really nice nine game slate featuring two games with a projected total over 230 point and none of the games have double-digit favorites. Let’s get to it – here are our early look NBA DFS Picks for November 18.
Remember to check back before tip off for injury updates and follow us on Twitter @theDFSpost for further analysis throughout the day.
- Kevin Love is OUT: That makes Tristan Thompson a CORE PLAY. No reports yet who’s starting but whoever it is makes an okay punt.
- Kyrie Irving it OUT: Dinwidde has a huge usage without Kyrie (same minutes) but I’m more inclined to play Joe Harris or Dzanan Musa.
THE STARTING FIVE:
GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO – MIL @ chi (FD$12,300 | DK$11,300)
Giannis is my top pay-up option tonight. Chicago kept the game close enough two games ago to allow Giannis to drop 71.5DKFpts on them. He has a ceiling just as high as Harden (not as consistent) but is $700 cheaper and that salary savings is going to help tonight. Without Middleton they are leaning heavily on him to carry the offence on his shoulders and he’s absolutely delivering and will continue to do so against the worst rebounding team in the NBA and the third worst team against Power Forwards. Lock him in.
LUKA DONCIC – DAL v sa (FD$11,400 | DK$9,800)
Speaking of high ceilings look no further than Luka Doncic. With already four games under his belt scoring over 72DKFpts nobody seems to be able to slow him down and he’s approaching matchup-proof status. Each night he’s a triple-double threat and the matchup against their state rivals is close to as good as it gets. The Spurs are on a five game losing streak, are 13th in Pace of play and are allowing the 4th most points against. It’s very conceivable that Luka has a 60 FPts floor tonight.
ZACH LAVINE – CHI v mil (FD$7,400 | DK$6,900)
I played LaVine against the Rockets four games ago and he royally bit me in the ass. I swore to myself I was never playing him again. Alas, it appears I am a sucker for punishment. He faced the Bucks two games ago and dropped 46.8 DKFpts and then then last game he dropped 41.3 DKFpts against the Nets. The game environment appears to be favorable with a 230 projected total and with LaVine’s 30% usage rate – he should have the ball in his hands a few extra times than average. Let’s give it one more try.
MYLES TURNER – IND @ bkn (FD$6,900 | DK$6,100)
Turner returned from injury and played 33 minutes scoring a double-double against the Bucks. It’s no secret that attacking the Center position generally pays off when playing against the Nets and we’re going to continue that trend tonight. Although the Nets are an improved rebounding team this year they are still giving up the 4th most points to opposing Centers. Brogdon is still questionable and if he missed the game I’m going to absolutely lock in Turner in my lineups. There is a little “revenge” factor in play here as well as it was against Brooklyn where Turner was injured in the first place so there could be extra motivation to make up for that lost time.
ARON BAYNES – PHO v bos (FD$6,000 | DK$5,100)
I’m a sucker for a narrative so let’s roll out the revenge narrative. This is his first game against his former team and he’s coming into the game in good form. Less his last game, he’s coming off six games scoring over 30 DKFPts with a high of 59.5 DKFPts. What’s more important is he’s averages 26MPG since taking over the starting Center position and he should get that tonight as Boston plays with some size at this position. Inexplicably his salary has decreased $800 so take advantage of that and lock him in. 7x is definitely in the realm of possibility here.
ALSO CONSIDER: James Harden, Pascal Siakam, Damian Lillard, Rudy Gobert, Paul George (revenge!), Kristaps Porzingis, Fred VanVleet, Eric Bledsoe, Wendell Carter Jr., Coby White, Daniel Theis, Danuel House Jr., Nassir Little,
