DraftKings NBA Picks and FanDuel NBA Picks – November 17

On Sunday’s I usually focus on NFL rather than NBA but today I was feeling like some basketball. SO, here is our picks for today’s four-game main NBA slate starting at 6pm.

Actually, before we get into the picks let’s talk about the matchups. The Pelican’s have half their team injured today and they play the hapless Warriors. You can play pretty much anybody on the Pelicans. If you want to differentiate yourself you can look to the Magic who are projected to score 14 more points than their season average. The Lakers you’ll have to be careful with as they are 14 point home favorites so who knows much much LeBron and AD will actually play. Now let’s get to it:

Tonight, with all the Pelican’s and Warrior’s value, has the making of a starts and scrubs lineup. At the top of the salary chain you have these two. Now I tend to shy away from 14 point favorites but there is a strong chance both these All-Stars can drop 50+ FPts in 3 quarters and pay off their value. LeBron has been unstoppable this year and has scored over 52 DKFpts in three of his last four games – that game he was before than mark was 2 games ago in a 26 point game over the Warriors. Anthony Davis is $1500 cheaper than LeBron and has also has scored over 52 DKFpts in three of his last four games (he actually sat out the Warriors game). The logic playing these two are simple – nobody on the Hawks can slow them down so lock em in as your core of a cash game stars and scrubs lineup.

He was one of my favorites plays before all the injury news came in. The Magic are projected to score 14 points more than their season average and the salaries haven’t been adjusted to take this into account. Washington owns the second worst defensive efficient rating in the NBA and has given up the second most fantasy points to opposing Centers this year. Not only that, over Vuc’s last five games he’s averaging over 19 points and 13 rebounds a game. He’s going to feast tonight.

What can we say. The Pelican’s have half their team on the injury report so heavy minutes will be played by all those healthy enough to put on sneakers. JRUE HOLIDAY is one of the top plays on the slate, plus NICKEIL ALEXANDER-WALKER and JAXSON HAYES should draw starts and are near minimum salary. E’TWAUN MOORE played 40 minutes last game and went for 8x his salary. There really isn’t a bad play on the Pelican’s simply because their salaries are so low and the minutes will be there. The Warriors have their fair share of value as well with ALEC BURKS and KY BOWMAN expected to play heavy minutes and should carry much of the offensive load. DRAYMOND GREEN and ERIC PASCHALL fill out the roster and are also nice plays in their own right.  You can easily play 4-5 players from this game but expect heavy chalk

ALSO CONSIDER: Evan Fournier, Jonathan Isaac, Alex Caruso, Cam Reddish, Thomas Bryant
